Cope Area Career Center provides quality Career and Technology Education programs to students attending Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School, Branchville High School, Denmark-Olar High School, Edisto High School and Hunter-Kinard Tyler High School. The Cosmetology students at CACC are getting ready for the Spring Cosmetology State Board Exam. Students must have earned 1000 hours to take the exam.

Mr. Footman's Law Enforcement Class at CACC sponsored a Mannequin Challenge. Congratulations to the first place winners--Welding I am class and Cosmetology II pm class.

OPERATION CLEAN SEEP
Over 20 HOSA students participated in the Orangeburg County OPERATION CLEAN SEEP October 15 picking up more than 24 bags of trash. Thank you HOSA students and Ms. Showman for helping keep our roads clean.
ORANGEBURG CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOUR SUPPORT STAFF PERSON OF THE YEAR
Congratulations Ms. Betty Jenkins.† Betty Jenkins is a native of McClellanville, SC and a graduate of Lincoln High School. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1979 from then South Carolina State College. Betty joined the Orangeburg Consolidated School District Four Family during the 2004-2005 school year. She spent three years at Carver-Edisto Middle School and five years at the STAR Center for Learning. From 2012 to the present time she has served the Districtís High School Alternative Program as the Instructional Lab Supervisor. Betty is married to the Rev. Herman N. Jenkins, a former employee of OCSD Four. They have three children, two grandchildren and live in Orangeburg, SC. †
CACC TEACHER OF THE YEAR
PAMELA KINARD, GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
Ms. Kinard is originally from Ruffin, SC.† She graduated from Winthrop University with a Master of Arts degree in counseling. While living in Rock Hill, SC, she taught marketing for 11 years at Cherokee Technology Center in Gaffney. She has also taught 6th grade ELA and served as a guidance counselor at Allendale High School for 9 years.† She is currently in her 3rd year at CACC where she is the guidance counselor. She has 3 children; one son that is 23, and two daughters who are 17 and 12.
